Wire 106 Radio Poster by Nicky Memita

Nicky’s Wire 106 radio poster inspired me to be more daring with colors when I design my own work. The colors of the text not only work nicely together but they also work with the background and all of the colors in the background image. I love how you are still able to the text without there having to be a shadow or blurring in the background. Nicky made the text large and used font that is easy to read, but also has some styling to it. The spacing within the word “radio” is fantastic and I love how it acts as kind of an underline for or tie between “Wire” and “106.” Nicky was definitely not afraid to experiment with color on this poster, and that’s something I would like to do more of in my own work.
