This week, rather than focus on an element of art or storytelling, we turned to the works of our fellow classmates. The biggest presentation of such was our radio show, which aired on Tuesday. Our group is very happy with the happy and satisfied comments we received concerning the broadcast. It means a lot to us when our work pays off. So we’d like to extend thanks to everyone who listened! We also enjoyed the pre and post show talks with the professors, giving some behind the scenes commentary on how this whole thing was put together.
I also tuned in to some of the other radio broadcasts, and wrote about one in particular, the corruption behind The Wire led by WMAD radio. An in-depth reflection can be read here, and I live-tweeted along with the show as well. Unfortunately I had some technical problems while listening, and had to spend more time fixing that than actually tweeting :
I also looked through the ds106 Inspire site, and took some time to look back through some of my old favorites to add. My choices and reasoning can be found here. Now that I had more incentive to look through other classmates work, I was able to discover even more cool and amazing projects that people had worked on. Whenever I have artist’s block or lack motivation, I know where to turn to for both inspiration and support. It was really heart-warming to see some of my own works on the site, and that just motivates me to keep on trucking.
In terms of daily creates, I worked on two. One was a writing excerpt detailing what I would change about my past, if given the chance. The second involved making a photo that utilized emojis, or emoticons. I made a picture depicting animals on the African savannah.
And finally, to show my appreciation, I commented on several blogs:

Next week we’ll be entering the double digits! We’ll see what’s left in store for this class.
