“But Don’t Forget To Tack Your Heart”

This week was a bit different. I liked the in[SPIRE] page and feel like it helped me get into the groove of commenting. I don’t necessarily feel that commenting is hard, I just don’t ever remember to do it during the week. It’s something I’m working on and the thing that’s holding me back the most. Let’s look at my work from the week

Behind The Scenes:

I really wanted to be a part of the behind the scenes discussion for my radio show. I knew that I had to get on hangouts but since I never had before it was really awkward trying to get in. I finally got settled down into my Google hangouts and waited for an invitation. At the same time I was listening to the radio show. I heard Professor Groom say he was switching over to my group and I got excited. I then heard him say We’ve got Meredith and I was just as lost as I had been before. I got an email from Professor Bond asking where I was and after about 20 minutes of he and I going back and forth I finally got on. After I got on my microphone was on and it was loudly playing into the radio show.It ended up working out well thought. I hope you guys enjoyed our show.

Inspire Site:

I’ll post the three pieces that I originally posted on the wall and blogged about.

Scarface-copy

These were the three pieces of work that I felt inspire by. I chose the logo because it was the motivation behind me creating my logo. I really enjoyed Lauren’s logo and wanted to be original like she was and make something that resembles me. I chose the Venn diagram because because I really liked the positioning of the characters. It made me think if I was using the same adjectives and the same characters where would I put them and I started thinking about how everyone else would think about it. I then thought that everyone takes the show and looks at it differently and that’s what makes the Venn Diagram. I chose the Scarface poster because I really liked how the obvious scar on his face works with the title but also how he and Scarface have some of the same character attributes and I thought that worked really well.

Listening and Critiquing another Radio Show:

I really enjoyed listening to the WireBuyers radio show. I was honestly a little bit confused while I was listening to the show. I guess I was taking the words “radio” “show” to literally and not thinking outside the box enough. I thought that the group did a great job putting everything together and made their show truly unique. Take a look at my response and let me know what you think.

Daily Creates:

My daily creates this week were fun. I had a great time doing the response one because it fit so well into my life and what I’ve talked about many times. I felt like I was actually venting while I was doing that one so you should check it out. The second one was a little interesting because there aren’t any African American emojis but I really wanted to include my body in the assignment. I had fun making my own emoji and think it turned out well. Take a look at both of these and let me know what you think.

The Wire Episodes:

This weeks Wire episodes continued a fad ha ha. I was really intrigued during all three episodes and did a lot of thinking. I don’t know if the writers and producers have all of this in mind but they do a great job of keeping the audience involved. There are just so many ways to unpack each episode and so much to think about that it’s mind blowing. I really enjoy McNulty and Omar and they keep mi interested every week. I can’t wait for the next episodes. I know they’ll be nothing less than amazing. Take a look at my responses and let me know what you think.

This was a surprisingly busy week but we made it through though. Hope my week was interesting for you.
