After a great deal of trial and error, I can now say after creating six gifs that I am now a gif pro!  They take a great deal of work but it was fun creating this assignment.

My episode is number 9 in season 1.  The title is “Game Day” and the quote for this episode is “Maybe We Won. by Herc”.  This episode focuses on playing the game.  Without looking into the layers of the episode, you could focus on the game of basketball of East side vs West side of the projects but this episode is much deeper than that.  My six gifs will tell the story of the games that are going on inside the characters that are walking The Wire everyday.

First gif:  Where’s Omar.  This is the conversation between Avon and Barksdale about the problem of Omar.

The next gif is Wallace’s Heart.  Wallace doesn’t have the heart to play this game.  He needs to find a way out. D’Angelo wants him to get out and go back to school.

Gif #3 is titled How old are you? In this scene, Walon talks to Bubbles about cleaning up his life..

Gif #4: Titled Gettin’ Clean.  Bubbles is seriously considering getting out of this game.  He goes to his sister for assistance to get clean.  She offers a sofa in her basement to sleep on.

Gif #5:  The title of this gif is “Using People” In this scene, Kima and Freamon talk to Shardene.  Their goal is to persuade her to wear a wire for them.  They open her eyes to how the game eats people up alive and leaves them dead.

The last gif is titled “Got your cheese fries”  In this episode, Avon has let down his guard.  Even sending out for cheese fries.  Little does he know that Omar has not let down his guard..  His game is on.

It was definitely game day..  Who has won and who has lost?
