“I Trained My Ego To See Gold”

I really enjoyed the 5th episode of the 4th season of The Wire. There were a couple of things that really caught my attention and stood out as I was watching this episode. The first of these things is the effort that is being out out by Prez in his classroom. Often times we see teachers who can’t control the classroom and just give up. Even in some of my experiences I’ve seen teachers just walk out of the classroom because they couldn’t get my classmates to cooperate. So I really appreciate this part of the show it makes it more real for me. Especially the fact that it’s a white teacher in a predominantly black class. That says a lot for Prez as he tries to get some order. Another thing that caught my interest in the episode was the Stanfield gang. It was definitely different and a little weird to see them and how they conduct themselves. They are totally different from the Barksdale gang. Honestly to me they seem a little less careful about how they handle their business. It could be something that works against them in the rest of the season
