The 12th episode of season two really caught my attention. I noticed from the start that this episode was going to be based off of emotions. Obviously with the dead body and all of the spectators it was going in a much different direction than any other episode. I realized that the sound for this episode was different. There were a lot of pauses where the picture would be a face and silence. I really think that helped capture the essence of the episode. Usually we hear a lot of noise in the background, but for the most part in this episode you only hear what you see. Another thing that stood out was how not many people were featured in this episode. We usually see a lot of people and a lot of different situations going on, but I feel like people involved with the Barksdale gang didn’t get a lot of air time. When they were shown it wasn’t very long. This episode took on a level of seriousness that I just don’t think many others have. Let me know if you think I’m completely missing something.
