The thing that caught my attention in the 10th episode of season 2 was how Brother Mouzone came in and started making power moves. It’s weird to see Avon compromise power even though he can’t really do anything about it. In the past I was questioning how the Barksdale organization continued to function after everything had happened. I now am wondering if this is Avon’s way of making sure that his own men don’t screw it up. I can tell that Stringer is getting agitated and I wonder if he’ll make a move against Avon. Since it seems that Stringer has accrued so much power in the Barksdale organization you’d think that he wouldn’t be scared to make such a risky move. It’s a lot to think about and it’s got me captivated. The other thing that interested me in this episode was the technology that was used. When the officials traced the messages on the phone I was impressed. Mainly because of the advances in technology and how McNulty was complaining about not having the technology. Today at the smallest unit of law enforcement they probably have that technology available, so that’s why I was intrigued by that.
