Major Tom in Mood Indigo

Lauren Brumfield and I are in the same ds106 project group and were working on the project tonight. We decided it would be fun and different to do an assignment together and the Dramatic Reading Remix assignment was perfect because we could do a song with two sides. We chose …

A bit of beat

I played around with soundation.com and made a cool beat for the voiceover a beat assignment. When I finally had something I wanted I spoke a few words in Garage Band and combined the two tracks, creating my audio file. I am still on a Halloween kick so I made …

Very Halloweeeny

In light of my obsession with Halloween candy at the moment and the holiday’s fast approach, I decided to do the Spooky Sounds assignment. I used my GarageBand to make this, pulling some creepy audio sounds from it. I interspersed these sounds with portions of noises, screams and other …

Focus your audio!

Today I practiced making a radio bumper for the daily create!! I did not know how to do this and was pretty scared, but I worked on GarageBand for a bit to figure it out. First, I looked over the Beatnik terms and wrote a script. I decided to …

Tracing lines

I did today’s tracing exercise for the daily create. I used some parchment paper to trace a photo and then put it overtop a cool map to make it look a little differently.…

Today, McNulty feels…

I did today’s daily create, “ds106 4life empathy map” and pertained it to McNulty, one of my favorite characters from the Wire. I saw Amy Wallace did her map using Bubble and D’Angelo and thought it was interesting, so I wanted to use our “textbook” as well. A lot of …

Decanting

I did my daily create today with water and glass moving. I was not sure how exactly to do this, but I thought it would be cool to pour water from one container to another. I had a glass decanter and filled it with water and had someone tape me …
