Ron Livingston once said, “Life is not always like chess. Just because you have the king surrounded, don’t think he is not capable of hurting you.” That’s what basically D’Angelo said in The Wire when he was teaching chess to Wallace and Bodie. Alison did a commercial about it for our radio show. I was inspired how she did that which I did post about it on the inspire website. Here’s the commercial she did for our radio show:
Even though we had like six people in our radio show group, I was happy to have Alison a part of it. She did a big part of outlining the radio show and that’s a huge step. She did some great commercials especially this one she did. I thought my description once again would be a part of inspire post but it wasn’t. Luckily I took a screenshot of it. Here it is:
I honestly thought before working on our radio show, how would I be able to do this? Making advertisements related to The Wire? That seems easy but creating it was the tough part for me. I’m a creativity guy and I wanted my commercials to be creative. I was all like

I love playing chess and after listening to Alison’s, it was an awesome one to hear about D’Angelo talking about on how to play chess in a radio way. I finally understood what to do after listening to her commercial and reading about it. It inspired me because the execution of it was just great and it actually sounded that it was on radio which it belongs to our radio show. Creating a radio show commercial before I thought was tough but with Alison’s one as an example, it made it much clearer. I made a couple commercials and I loved doing it. Wished I could make more for assignments or anything else that has a purpose to it. All I could say is

Also Alison deserves one thing as well.

Good job Alison!
