A Remix led to Inspiration #1

Lao Tzu once said, “Care about what other people think and you will always be their prisoner.” After listening to what we will do in Week 9, I was quite happy that we get to submit posts that we thought inspired us on the ds106 inspire website. The first blog post that inspired me was Maggie’s Macklemore’s “Same Love” Speech & Song Remix. I posted it on the inspire website. Here’s an audio clip of what Maggie did:

I’m glad to say Maggie was a part of our radio group because she has the creativity and can bring up really amazing ideas. I thought my description would be part of the my inspire post but it never showed up apparently. Luckily I took a screenshot of it for in case something went wrong like mine so here is what my description was:

I just loved how she was able to remix the song with audio clips of people talking about how they are gay and I thought it would be hard to do that but after hearing hers I was like

Her submission of the assignment of what she did, it truly signifies of the gay rights in the US. What I’m basically trying to say is that from listening to this, Macklemore’s song and the audio clips that she put together really represents that gay people should promote gay marriages. It’s a really an inspirational song and Maggie chose the right song to do it. Plus the way she did this assignment was on point. It was spot on.

I thought her one than other people’s was the best. Like I said before, it was creative and she picked the right song to represent the rights for gay marriages. It found me interested that getting audio clips that can be similar to a song would be awesome like Maggie did.

Maggie does indeed deserve a cookie for making her audio clip awesome. Great job Maggie!
