Thoughts on WireBuyers

I enjoyed listening to the WireBuyers radio show. I think the group did a great job producing their segment. It was nice that Jim and Paul set it up so creators were on Twitter as we were live tweeting. I had a lot of questions that were answered almost instantly.

I thought this assignment was very vague when I started with my group. It took us awhile to figure out what exactly we were doing with our group and how we were going to produce it. We were also really confused as to the “radio show” we were expected to create. It’s neat that this group made their radio show so different than ours. They used clips from commercials, songs, clips from The Wire, and their voices to create a great radio show.

It seemed to me that they really used the commercials to demonstrate their theme. Although the products were not mentioned in the tv series, they fused the tv show in with commercials for popular products that may be used in the series.

This one was definitely my favorite. It was a twist on KFC served behind the bars. Great job with this one!

I could tell that this group struggled with the volume of the radio show. At some parts, I’d find myself jumping a bit because of the volume change. We struggled with this as well because Danielle’s voice is very soft. I tried the best I could to make them fit together, but it didn’t always work.

Overall, it was cool to listen to their show. I think they did a great job producing and editing their show!
