This week started with a huge amount of fear and dread.  The beginning of videos…  I could feel a panic attack setting in just at the thought of it!  I am so thankful that Meredith Fierro talked me down off the edge of the roof. (just kidding :)) Meredith tutored me on how to make and edit videos.  This helped me so much!  I can’t even begin to explain the relief that I felt after just 1 hour of tutoring!  Here is my week..

I did two Daily creates this week.  I did the “What is it” on 10/28 and “the color of Halloween” on 10/31.

My What is it was my son’s drum set.  I don’t know if anyone could make it out in the shadows.

The next daily create was the color of Halloween.  For me, Halloween is all about the candy corn. (my favorite vegetable I might add)

As for my two Inspirations this week:

I was greatly inspired by Maggie Stough’s “If Samuel L. Jackson were a chipmunk”.  This was the funniest ever.

I was also greatly inspired by Meredith Fierro’s Silent Movie.  After I saw her movie, I had to book an appointment at the tutoring center.  She helped me so much in learning how to make a masterpiece like hers.

I also participated in 2 google chats so that I could complete my 3 chats for the class.  I chatted on Tuesday about Episode 8 and then again on Thursday about Episode 9.  It enjoyed both chats.  We talked about the building war between Avon and Stringer and the use of color to show one all in black and one all in white.  Similar to the chess board in season 1.  We discussed the change in Cutty and his starting of a boxing gym.  We also discussed the complete flip of roles of the drug dealers and the cops in Hamsterdam.  Also in these episodes you begin to see D’Angelo’s mom start to realize that D was killed.  We also see Kimma begin to become more like McNulty.

For my Creations this week.  I ended with a total of 11.5 stars created.

My first creation was my silent film. (4.5 stars) I loved everything about this silent film.  The ironicly funny light hearted music and the scene that I pulled from youtube.  Priceless for an Omar fan!

My next project was my music video. (5 stars)  I made this video as a way to memorialize my cousin, Grant that recently passed.  I love the song that I picked and felt it was fitting for this tribute.  I hope you enjoy.

My last project was to make a vacation video.  This required as much work as the music video but it was for only 2 stars.  I made a video to show our vacation to the Outer Banks in N.C.  I started the video with an actual video from the beach at sunrise and faded into the video of pictures of our vacation.  This is a wonderful skill that I have now learned to remember events like weddings, family reunions, etc.  Thank you so much for teaching me how to do this!
