This assignment was a little challenging for me, due to the fact I had to paste a face onto an animal. I picked to do Stringer Bell based off of how he was in Season 2, Episode 1. Since Avon went to jail, Stringer has become the dominant one of the game. I picked a lion because they are dominant over their kingdom aka the game. Everyone is now following Stringers lead, just like cubs do with a lion. He is being very protective over his kingdom because he is now having people followed to ensure they are fully committed to the game.

 

Process:

I had no idea how to do this at all, so luckily google was right there! I had to do many trials and errors before it worked out.

First, I found a website which explained how to use the paths tool on GIMP. That did not work out so well for me. I could not get it to paste on to the lion. So I went searching for another way to do this.

I found this website that was EXTREMELY helpful!

I opened the lion image into GIMP, then I opened a picture of Stringer as a layer. Then, I used the eraser tool and just erased what I did not want in the picture. This was a much easier method for me, although it is still not perfect. After that, I just used to moving tool to move Stringer’s face to where I wanted it.

When it came time to saving it, I kept hitting save as.. But that did not work! I finally remembered that I had to export it as a PNG! I am pretty impressed on how this turned out being the first time I have ever done this!
