The Sympathy Symphony

One very interesting thing that kept me engaged in the 10th episode of the third season of The Wire dealt with Cutty working on getting his gym ready for use. When he gets into a litlle altercation with Justin, a young kid, we see his patience. There was a lesson that can be taught to the audience of the show that occurs when Cutty goes to talk to another trainer at a different gym. It’s the lesson similar to the one about being the bigger person. Instead of that this message is to have patience and wait out whatever the tough situation is that you’re going through. A lot of times once you get over the initial stage of anger you thin a lot more reasonably and make better judgments. Another thing that caught my attention in this episode was Bunny Colvin being bashed for his free zones. It’s like it didn’t matter that he’s trying do clean up the streets and do something good. They were jumping all over him or at least Burrell was and I just didn’t understand it. I understand that in some parts of what he did he was wrong but it was for the better and you would think that he would get praise instead of hate for his work. It had me a little heated but also kept me interested.
