Two Weeks Too Many

This time we had two weeks to complete everything for week 11 and week 12. We are still focusing on videos as our assignments as well as preparing for the final assignment.

The Wire- Season 3 Episodes 11 and 12. Season 4 Episode 1.

Wow… I did not see that coming! Episode 11 was a very heartbreaking episode. Stringer Bell was murdered. Although, I could see it coming, I didn’t think Avon would allow it to go through. The scene in Episode 12 with the body getting zipped up was so intense. McNulty was so torn up about it because they finally had a bullet proof case against Stringer. I love how the show still focuses on Cutty. He is such a refreshing character for the show. He really is building a life for himself. Episode 1, tended to be more focused on the kids. I also like how Prez is now becoming a teacher, I think he might enjoy it! Now that Stringer is gone, the focus is shifting to Marlo. Bodie is also trying to step up to keep the Barksdale organization going.

Week 12

The Wire- Season 4 Episodes 2,3,4

I am really enjoying this season so far, I like how it is focused on the kids. Prez is struggling as being a teacher as well, he gets no respect from the kids. In the scene where school opened you could tell everyone was scared and hoping for the best. It was clearly just chaos when the doors first opened as well as in homeroom. Then the math class came along and everything went poorly.. When Prez tried to address it in the next episode, they blew him off. I thought it was interesting how they seem to listen to the female teacher. Everyone seems to be scared of her.
