In brainstorming an idea for my take on a The Wire themed radio show I choose to approach the conscience of the listener. It is my vision that this show would address the greater implications of David Simon’s portrayal of social injustices through his artistic imagery in the mini series. Each segment would pair one of the issues included in the episode’s story line along with a current affair topic in the present media. The show would take calls from the listener offering their insight as to how the issue within the episode brings a parallel awareness to the hot topic or fails to attribute any component to the topic at hand. Guest speakers could be cast of The Wire including David Simon himself and an expert on the subject matter to assist in taking calls and answering questions from the caller.
