When I first registered for this class, I was not sure what to expect. I had heard that it required a time consuming relationship with a computer and knowledge of this virtual world. With that being said, this is a whole new experience for me in both aspects, but I am eager to learn.
Signing up for the various social media websites was time consuming and exhausting. I still don’t understand why there can’t be just one website everyone uses for everything. It would make like so much easier in my opinion. I decided to choose a reoccurring theme for posting about myself this week. Since we just came back to school and I enjoyed yet another amazing summer filled with trips to my favorite places, I chose to link my posts to those experiences because I love to travel in the Caribbean.

When I was setting up these various accounts, I quickly came frustrated. I love to make things easier for myself and others. My first tweet relates to me because I am always trying to make things work out in an easy way.

This is a picture of an activity I created and implemented in a third grade classroom. My dream is to be an elementary school teacher. I am a very creative person who loves to work with children. Teaching is my passion.

This summer, I held a daycare out of my house. Each week, we would play games, go swimming, go on field trips, conduct experiments, read and write, and do arts and crafts. It was a great way to spend summer because I gained experience and made money!

For my sound that relates to me, I decided to post some steel drum music. This music is the most calming and relaxing music. I love listening to it because it makes me feel like I am in the islands even though I am sitting at home staring at this computer screen.
Thoughts on The Wire
I cannot lie, this show did not immediately catch me. I thought I would have to sit through hours of this show I hated. I found the episodes to be very drawn out and boring at times. I would often say to myself, “did they really need to include that part?” But by episode three, I started to get interested. I love the way they flip back and forth between the different points of view. It helps the audience to understand what the characters are experiencing. I especially enjoy when they show D’Angelo’s point of view. He is probably my favorite character because even though he is a drug dealer, he seems like a pretty cool guy. I thought it was great how he took the time to teach the game of chess to Bodie and Wallace. It shows that drug dealers are not all bad people. I am excited to see how the show continues to unfold. So far, I am having a hard time keeping up and remembering who everyone is, but in time, I’m sure I will come to like the show more!
