I’m on the Prowl…And I’m hungry like a Wolf
Screen shots taken from Season 2 Episode 11 of The Wire
No it’s not a bad 80’s song, it’s my The Wire Animal Human-Head Hybrid. For this assignment I watched episode 11 of Season Two of The Wire to get …
Another design assignment I completed was “Design and Invoice.” For this one I wanted to relate it to The Wire episodes we watched this week. Using word I created the invoice. First, I considered the different items to put on the invoice. Now I know the job Ziggy did for …
After reading The Vignelli Canon, Tim Owen’s “We Are All Artists” statement and links, and listening to the Groom/Owens interview + talk, I felt well-armed to tackle Design Week. Tim Owens’ statement “The Mozarts are over here and the factory workers are over here” really resonated with me. I’ve never …
While perusing the resources provided for elements of design this week, I was suddenly struck by an idea of another type of artwork. Surprisingly, a search of what I was looking for didn’t turn up, so I decided to submit my own. Since we need to come up with …

I’ve been re-watching into Season 3, and the Hamsterdam episodes are among my favorites mostly because of the concept of a drug-tolerant zone in an inner city. Fascinating concept. The assignment to create a Venn diagram required a lot more thought and playing around on scratch paper than I had …
The design assignment “Animated Comic Book Covers” was challenging but a lot of fun. It really tested my rookie skills of photoshop and GIMP. First I had to choose a comic book cover to animate. I wanted something that would my photoshop ability but not be too challenging. This X-men …
It had to be done. Design a book cover. I had to go with parody, because I don’t take fluffy beach froth like this book too seriously. On a deeper note, there might actually BE fifty different aspects to Wee-Bey’s character. We see the fish hobbyist, the loyal Barksdale employee, …
