Gifted & Inspired

My last Ds106Inspire creation although impartial would have to go to Ahotcrazymess’s Desa Stone, My Digital Experience.. DS106 For Life’s Melinda Albrycht, and Letz Chop It Up’s Kisha Mahone. Even though I was a part of this creation the fact that us over 30 something’s courage, relentless strength, and mere audacity to execute and accomplish such creativity amazed all three of us. We were able to create an extraordinary bond because of this assignment that although somewhat co-dependent proved to be a reliable one; we were truly our sister’s keeper! The bond was especially interesting because of the stage of life we are in as woman. Being the non traditional university student, the three of us face the uncertainty of attending classes upon the campus of UMW at a point in life that with most woman would be complicated if not impossible. Furthermore, taking a course such as DS106 which requires a demanding amount of work and achieving the level of momentum that we have is very impressive; at least it was for us. This opportunity was a plus; we learned the in’s and out’s of creating through a digital medium, worked cohesively as a team (recognizing first our weaknesses than our strengths), and gained a bonus of friendship in the end! The obvious is that our work will be archived as long as DS106 exists.
