Red, Yellow, & Blue
Red tie, blue shirt, and yellow poster.
Blue walls with red & yellow posters.
Red hat, yellow tie, blue shirt.
Red shirt, blue skirt, and yellow lines on the road.
Red and blue on the sign and the yellow crosswalk signal.
Red, White, & Black
A lot of the gang violence occurs when they are wearing red, black, and white. This similar amount of violence occurs in the microcosm of the basketball game.
Red & Green
The red & yellow was scene in its typical places of the streets in the episode, but it also appeared in this hotel room.
Green & Yellow
Omar’s spoils
Both Daniels’ workplace where they do all the surveillance and the hideout where Avon is has lots of green and yellow.
Technology
Seeing these guys from the street be able to work the computer program with ease and the way Herc had fun with it was a really fun scene.
Prez’s little dramatic rant while working this program was hilarious and just a remainder that he’s a little crazy.
The video tape recording on the video just took me back all my family’s home videos. It really dates this series.
Interesting Shots
This whole scene with the taped up guys slithering out of the building was really interesting and strange to watch.
I love how Kima is framed by McNulty, the gun, and the bottle.
I love how we can barely make out what’s happening on the other side and it definitely speaks to who knows what about D’Angelo’s death.
I just thought that this was a really interesting angle.
I love how this is framed through the window and the words on the window pane are above the people in the shot.
This wide shot of the building Dennis is going to work on was really cool. I love the green lighting around the door.
Seeing him through the busted glass was a really cool way to track him.
Their boyish tussle that has building tensions underlying it was staged in a very interesting way. I was expected to see a lot of shots of Stringer from below to make him powerful, but we were almost eye level with him, which suggests that he and Avon are evenly matched.
This reminded me a lot of The Dark Knight as well as some of the shots we’ve seen of where Daniels’ team works.
