I started my photoblitz this morning at 9:41 and finished it in only 10 minutes! I was surprised at how quickly I thought of things that could work for photos! Here they all are!
1. An interesting shadow: I actually had just lit a candle before I started my photoblitz and it turned out to be the perfect source for my interesting shadow on the book behind it.
2. Make a photograph of a wheel near you: I happen to be wearing a shirt with clocks on it and matching clock earrings, so I simply turned my earring over and snapped a photo of one of the cogs on the back. Wheels really are everywhere!
3. Make a photo of a thing that is not like the other two in the picture: The assignment suggested 2 dogs and a cat, but I actually have, among my collection of very odd photos and prints, two photos of very off cats and a photo of elephants dancing on the same wall, and I just had to use these for this photo assignment.
4.Make a photo that freezes or isolates the motion of an object: As I already wanted a cup of tea, I decided to photograph the water from my Keurig as it feel in a stream into the cup!
5. Let’s play with movement. Get a shot of something in motion: I had a bit of trouble with this one, but decided to photograph a tree outside my house as it is a windy, rainy day. The leaves rustled a lot, but it was hard to catch the movement on camera. I took two photos to show the difference (I hope that’s allowed!).
6. Black and white photographs are a classic look: This one was pretty easy because I like old things and happen to have a black and white print of cats in a library, two of my favorite things!
And TIME!
This was actually a really cool exercise and I had a lot of fun with it. Luckily my house had a lot to offer, but it was crazy to see how quickly I picked things out for each photograph assignment just by looking around my bedroom. I only wish I had a better camera than my iPhone to use for this assignment.
