We are hard at work tossing around the ideas of a radio show designed as if it is a news broadcast that could have taken place during the time period of The Wire.  We will have several different snippets from each member of our team that will include political news, local news, traffic, etc all based around Baltimore.

Monday, We met with Professor Groom in the ITCC to discuss our radio show.  We talked about our ideas of a radio show set up like a news broadcast.  Jim, liked our ideas and said it was an awesome idea to run with.  He gave us a link to a news broadcast called 10-10-Wins.  It’s a short broadcast that covers a huge amount of information in just 22 minutes.

We like the idea of our show using the theme:  “Give us 25 minutes, We’ll give you Baltimore.”

Our only problem has been staying focused on getting things recorded due to the drama of a team member verbally abusing other members of our team.  Condescending remarks on others intelligence will not be tolerated.  Being in a team is exactly that, a team.  There is no I in team.  This grade on this project means so much to Lakisha, Desa, and myself.  We refuse to let this put us down or behind.  We will be successful and get this done.  Without drama, this can be a very fun project.  Reporting news based on The Wire, makes you really focus on location, street names, and current events that are occurring on the episodes.  An example is my campaign ad….  I don’t want to upload it yet but here is an ad from our broadcast…
