For my final Bank Assignment Assignment, I wanted to do a design. The one assignment to catch my attention was John’s. I really thought this was a great one. Everyone loves to google/look up their favorite child star actors, etc. I decided to come up with really intense backgrounds for the most important characters from ep 2 of season 2 of The Wire. So here we go!

The Rocker

Where is McNulty now? Well, some would say living the dream but others would say being the dream. After dumping 14 new homicides to Rawls, they’ve had it. Without a doubt Rawls fired McNulty. So what else is there for him to do? Well, obviously use his good looks to get the ladies. He was at an all time low until he started listening to his old Kiss albums and decided that if Gene Simmons can pull off that crazy hair, why can’t he?! Now McNulty performs 2 days week with all the Jameson he could ever dream about. And to top it all off, his wife takes him back because who could say no to that hair? A happy ending for everyone.

The Player

Don’t forget about Moreland, guys. No matter what he does, he always lands on his feet. Those cases didn’t effect him at all. Four years after the 14 homicides and Moreland retires. What is he to do with all this new free time? His passion has always been the trombone, obviously. So now he just hangs out in the jazz clubs at night and plays soothing music while you’re out on a date with that lucky someone.

The Pope

Look at that face. No matter what is going on, Rawls will always have that mean look, even when he becomes the Pope! yeah, you heard right. THE Pope. Those 14 bodies took a big toll on his life and he felt that he needed more than just clearance of homicides to get him through the day. He found his way through God and wanted to serve. So here he is! Pope of the Holy Roman Empire just doing his thing. Too bad he found God AFTER he fired McNulty.

Sir Mix Some Drugs

Where does Stringer stand now? Since Avon is still in the clinker, he is rolling in the dough. He decided to take up a hobby, i mean, why not? He is the boss now, at least from the outside. He’s got everything under control and with some extra cash flowing in he opened up a club near the Harbor. He’s still an amateur but hey, it’s just a hobby. Don’t hate.

 

The Process

Well, this Assignment was a lot more fun because I was creative with it. It took a little while to search up the important characters in episode 2 and look at what the actor did in the past/future. When I saw the picture of McNulty dressed up as a rocky i knew i had to pick that one. But doing on picture didn’t seem right so I went with 4. They’re fun to make and read so no harm done, right? I found the funny pictures ad uploaded them to my flickr and from there i took them from flickr and put them in the blog post. Like i said, the only time consuming part was looking up the actors and figuring out a story for them based on their other works. Overall, i think this was a great idea from John.
