I like how their white shirts really stand out and that we’re seeing them through the chainlink. Their hang out spots are always really well staged.
The shadows and the iron fences make for a very creepy shot. I like how we get some of the boys’ interpretation of what they think is happening to the people who disappear. The zombie angle was really interesting and helped to show how innocent they are in many ways.
The wardrobe work really well with the background. There’s a sense of opposing opinions here with Marlo in lighter colored clothing and Chris in navy.
These colors remind me a lot of the washed out shades that we saw in season 2.
This scene and plot with Bubbles and Sherrod in this episode really shows how much Bubbles has changed since the first season.
Red, yellow, and blue.
Red and green. I’m enjoying watch Prez slowly find his way to getting control of his students, but he’s still got a long way to go. I love how Donut unlocked his car for him.
The colors in this shot are really nice. I also like how it’s staged with the overturned red and black crates and the cement corner pointing between Marlo and Chris.
This looks like a classic creepy murder investigation to me. There’s something about fall and wandering through the woods that just screams “murder investigation.” The car and trees being perpendicular to each other really add interest to the shot.
Red, green, and yellow.
Here we have some technology being implemented to try and spy on Marlo, although I’m pretty sure they won’t get far with this as Marlo is smart about these things.
Red, yellow, and blue.
Green, red, and yellow.
The blood splatter on the shirt really stands out when almost everything else is white or gray.
This shot makes it look like Carcetti is at a disadvantage, as he appears to be standing below the others.
The wide shot of the same staging, however, makes them look like they are almost on an equal level.
I love the colors in this shot, especially the white gravestones in the background.
Prop Joe looks like a religious leader in this shot with the cross behind him and the book opened in front of him. The colors are very earthy in this shot as well.
