November 7, 2014 – Make a Sound Map
Last Friday was a cold windy day. I heard the howling winds shake the trees and in an effort to avoid the gloomy weather, I stayed in a friend’s apartment and listened to music as I watched him play Grand Theft Auto V on an XBOX360.
November 8, 2014 – Safe Havens
I realized I misread the instructions after posting my daily create on Flickr! My safe haven is nature, more specifically any place with flowing water. This picture I took and edited was on a chilly day at the Rappahannock River with friends. From the rock we were standing at, the view was incredible.

Looking through Google images for funny pictures of mice, I came across this picture of a mouse in a ridiculous mouse-sized bonnet. It immediately made me think of Kristen Wiig’s “Help me, I’m poor” scene in Bridesmaids. It fits the photo perfectly!
November 14, 2014 – If Poets Wrote Parking Tickets
I wrote the following about a time I was too lazy to park my car in the Sunken Lot due to a heavy downpour, and instead decided to wake up early the next morning to move it from the visitor’s parking at the Bell Tower. Right when I came out, the parking attendant had just ticketed my car.
A raindrop fell,
I said farewell
And left my car
At the tower with the bell.The immediate morn,
A white truck I scorn
Placed something on my car,Oh goodness me!
Can it be
A thin white slip,
Twenty-five dollar fee?
