Listening to WireBuyers Radio

For radio show airing week, I decided to listen to Wire Buyers Radio. I was so impressed with this group’s work!

Content
I loved all the different sound elements they incorporated into the show! This made the entire show interesting and kept the listener wondering what was coming next. My favorite segments of this radio show was the flashback sound clip of D’Angelo Barksdale explaining chess to the youngins’ in The Pit (accompanied with some light, happy music in the background), and the comedic Family Guy scene of Peter repeating how much he loves Breaking Bad and The Wire (it made me LOL!).

The Show Overall
The sound quality of the show was very smooth and fluid. I liked that there was so many different kinds of advertisements, bumpers, and sound clips from The Wire. What would’ve make this show great is if there were voices of the group members introducing the segments/clips. Because there was so much content, it was hard to determine if the what the next segment/commercial was about. Overall, I enjoyed the fun segments of this show–it kept everything really interesting.

Comments
I wish the group would’ve included more clips of their own voices. While I did enjoy the flashback sound clips from The Wire accompanied with some smooth background music, I would’ve liked to hear some of the group members have a speaking segment, like a real radio show! It would have been nice to hear everyone’s radio personality come out. I did appreciate the introduction bit by Jessica in the beginning.
