“I’m Still Tripped Off”

The thing that caught my attention in episode five of season three of The Wire was once again Jimmy McNulty. This time I kind of feel like there was a parallel to an earlier episode when Jimmy saw Stringer Bell in a college course. I was so interested by that that I stayed focused the whole show. I feel like that was in some way supposed to be a message. It’s just a message that I can’t interpret. I wanted to read into but my mind couldn’t. It also brought me bak to a previous statement in which I said McNulty doesn’t like to stop working on a case. This is a big case that he still won’t let go being the Barksdale gang. It’s been two seasons and he’s still working to take them down. The other thing that caught my attention was Omar. I can’t get enough of his conniving ways. He is always plotting and trying to do something wrong and it makes me chuckle every time I see it. It really adds another dimension to the show and makes the audience think more. It gets us involved and keeps up intrigued. We have to think about his next move while also thinking about everything else that’s going on in the show.
