“Soul Searching Til My Flows Are Perfect”

These two weeks might have been the busiest two weeks out of the whole semester. The break really did a number on me but I managed to do all of the work. Let’s take a look.

Wire Episodes:

The Wire episodes for these two weeks were amazing. One of the things that I really started to notice and I mentioned in a few of the commentaries was the evolution of characters that had been around for a while. It’s like I got complacent and forgot that they had been there from the beginning because everything looks so different now. I really enjoyed the way the season is forming and how all of the separate individual stories are progressing. Read my thoughts and let me know what you think about them.

Daily Creates:

Once again the daily creates were fun and even a great way to relax. With the semester coming to its end it was nice to be able to go and do some daily creates to calm down and have a bit of fun. I have really enjoyed these. Take a look and let me know if you like them.

Wire Dicussion:

I had a really good discussion with Groom and Bond about the sixth episode of the fourth season. These were my screenshots. I chose the first because of the relationship between religion and politics which I also wrote about in one of my episode recaps. I chose the second because it shows the support of Bunny Colvin for Namond and that is a parallel with the real world and how some older African Americans try and help younger ones become better people. The third one is a representation of the two different lifestyles between Namond and Bodie. I really enjoyed this discussion with our Professors.

Mashup Assignments:

The Mashup Assignments were fun. They definitely took a lot of thinking probably more than any other category. I racked my brain multiple times trying to figure what should go into each of these assignments. That doesn’t even account for the number of assignments I attempted to do. Nevertheless, it was a great time creating all of these and I hope you like them. Let me know.

Final Project:

Take a look at a couple of my media outlets for McNulty. I uploaded the assignments to these pages. I also had fun creating these assignments. The hardest part came at the beginning of each assignment when I had to keep telling myself that I was supposed to be doing them from McNulty’s point of view. Once I got that into my head the assignments were a little more fun than if it was just me doing something. I feel that doing the assignments through McNulty’s perspective gave me a lot of things to work with and it made the assignments even more fun to do. I had a good time doing these assignments. Let me know what you think about them.

Remix Assignment:

The Remix assignment was a shock. I didn’t really know what to expect from it, but it was honestly better than what I thought it was going to be. My initial reaction was a little bit of confusion with some slight laughter because the assignment wanted me to incorporate mustaches. It was a lot of fun to let my mind drift away and just explore what it wanted to. It was also a good relaxer because I didn’t have to think I just let my mind go.Take a look at it and tell me if you like it.

Coming up on the last two weeks of the semester I wonder what surprises ds106 holds. Should be interesting. Hope you enjoyed my work. I’ll be looking forward to creating more magic this week for you.
