Omar: Chipmunk Style
I followed this great tutorial for the Chipmunk Style assignment
(2.5 stars, but I think it should be 3 since it took me a while)
Process
I used MPEG stream clip to trim the scene that I wanted. I chose the one where Omar is talking about how he almost got an old woman killed in a shooting. I picked this scene because I thought it would be funny to make such a serious scene sound silly.
I downloaded Camtasia to record my screen.
I exported the audio from the recording into Audacity. I used the change pitch effect and increa
sed it 40% to get the Chipmunk effect.
On Camtasia, I deleted the original audio and added in my new audio with the chipmunk effect.
I uploaded my finished project to youtube and here’s what I have!
Beyonce: The Workout Instructor
I chose to do the Musicless Video assignment (worth 3.5 stars), but instead of just watching a music video without sound (which anyone can do by simply muting there computer) I added in audio from a different video.
I chose Beyonce because she has all these crazy, fabulous dance moves that look great when it goes with music. Watching it without audio, it seemed like it could be a workout video, so that’s exactly what I did.

Then I found this workout video and extracted the audio using youtube to mp3 converter.
Using Camtasia, I recorded my screen playing the Beyonce video. I then deleted the audio and inserted the audio from the work out video.

Hangover Assignment
I had so much fun with the Hangover Assignment (4.5 stars). When I read it, I knew my night out in Clarendon with my best friend would be perfect! I started my day bright and early with a cold, rainy muddy rugby game at VCU. We won! (And I scored!) Then I rushed home to change and headed to Arlington where we went to the Clarendon Halloween Bar Crawl. After sorting through about 100 selfies, I put together this video montage of our night.
I used Windows Live Movie Maker to create the slideshow and added the song Fireball by Pitbull. It was really simple to create, the long part was spending a whole day taking pictures.

I think Maggie nailed this assignment. I love the clip she put in the begining of Lester telling McNulty he sets fire to everything he touches because it’s so true. And then the songs and clips fit perfectly. Awesome job!
