Hey guys!  So I was talking with my wife as we were watching an episode the other day, and we were asking hypothetical questions, such as “What would you do if you were Omar here?” (obviously the response here is always “Be a badass and mess things up for people!”).  So naturally when I was deciding which assignments I would do for ds106 this week, I picked the design assignment “Participate and design a survey”.  For this assignment, I used surveymonkey since it is a very user friendly site and no prior knowledge of survey making is required.  I decided to create this from the standpoint of “What would you do if you were a character from The Wire”.  I based this around episode 11 from season 2, Bad Dreams.  Surveymonkey walks you through the process completely.  The site lets you title the survey, pre-populates a question field and several answer fields, and each of these you can edit text and number of questions and answers.  If you have a pro-membership, surveymonkey allows you to add a survey logo and many more survey types, such as individualized logic links for a more creative survey.  However, I don’t like to pay for things, so…It is a short survey (only 3 questions) and each question has 3 answers.  Take the survey and see what you think, then next week I will post the results!
