“Yes I Guess The Word Is Out”

I thoroughly enjoyed the 11th episode of the third season of The Wire. One of the things that grabbed my attention came immediately at the beginning of the episode. The standoff between Omar and Brother Mouzone really caught me off guard. Actually I guess it was more of the fact that at the end they came together. It was crazy because of how Brother Mouzone acts. I would have never thought that Omar would for a second listen to anything he had to say. I also think that Avon giving Stringer up the way he did was kind of anticipated but I would have never thought that it would lead to Omar and Mouzone working together. Then the final scene of the episode when they caught and killed Stringer just made me stop and pause. All though that too was anticipated just to see it happen was unbelievable. The other thing that really caught my attention was Cutty and his success with the young men who box at his gym. Even though the one kid got absolutely tore up in the fight with a kid from another gym, it was nice to see them being taught some values. I respect people who are out in the world like Cutty who try to make a difference in at risk teens’ lives.
