Well, yet again here I am at 11:30 pm trying to finish all of my DS106 assignments. I started the week out well getting a lot of things completed but then once I felt ahead in this class my other classes started to pickup the workload. I also just realized that my accounts time settings has been wrong. It has been about 4 hours or so ahead of the actual time. I just changed it to the New York time but I don’t know if that will change all of my postings times. Hopefully I haven’t been loosing points or credit for assignments that I have completed on time but are time stamped as a later time.

12 stars of Visual Assignments:

• An Album Cover – this assignments was cool having to create an album cover for a band using random Wikipedia sites, quotes, and Flickr picture. 3 stars

 

• You’re Doing It Wrong –  I chose to do this assignment because I just think it is really funny some of the stupid stuff people do. I do some stupid stuff every once in  while, but I have never done something this stupid. 3 stars

• Splash the Color –  I can definitely say that I am getting a lot better with Photoshop. I decided to do a color splash of M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens Stadium) because its football season and the purple really stands out in respect to the rest of downtown Baltimore. 3 stars

 

• My Favorite Lyrics – I can’t choose just one set of lyrics as my favorite. There are just too many songs out there  to choose one. Currently, American Kids is my favorite and I chose the lyrics “We were Jesus save me, blue jean baby, born in the USA.” While Googling pictures for American Kids I saw this one and just had to go with it.

 

 

Daily Creates:

• Noise Pollution: This sound was what I was hearing in my backyard on Saturday enjoying the beautiful weather. You can’t really hear much, but that was why I was relaxing outside.

• Uncropped Road Sign –  The other daily create I did was taking a road sign and basiclly making a picture from it. I googled road signs and just searched until I saw one and had an idea of what to make.

 

Other then the visual assignments this week and the daily creates we had to participate in a live tweet while watching an episode without sound. I was not a fan of this one. I didn’t get much out of it and found myself not focusing on the episode. When we did the sound only I had to listen closely to hear what was happening.. Just seeing the visual just did not keep me interested in it.

 

As we get farther into the semester there are more and more things I have to do for all my classes. It is adding up quickly and I have to complete the things that are due at specific times which is why I am completing this at 11:50 pm. Other things needed to be done first for my other classes and sometimes things need to be put on the back burner to take care of the priorities. Week 5 complete on to the next.
