“The Yellow Tape Was A Warning Sign”

The thing that caught my attention in episode 8 of the second season of The Wire was McNulty and his drinking. First, I was hoping that he could work things out with his wife, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. His actions after he was turned away were like a commentary on real people. It’s saying that people really believe in “drinking their sorrows away.” There is a common theme when Mcnulty is drunk. He always seems to be with bunk. If one of them is not drunk the other is or both of them are. They need each other and it’s obvious that they’re their for one another. Another thing that I found interesting was the Barksdale organization and how they are losing their business. I finally understand how they are being hurt by everything that has happened. Even though they still are selling their product is weak. They don’t have the people or the weight to pull so other groups and gangs take their business. It soared right over my head but now I fully see how the Barksdale organization is taking a loss.
