Week 6 Summary

The Wire this week was interesting. I am interested in what will happen to Ziggy. He will probably become an informant for the police against his father, but I’m not sure he has enough details about anything to make a case. Sobatka is also getting interesting as he seems to be breaking as the pressure from the Greek and the police is setting in. I really find it hard to care about the story line about McNulty and his exwife because you know it won’t go well even if they do end up together.

For my assignments for this week, I did the One Story, Four Icons assignment (worth 2.5 stars) for S2 E9 of The Wire. I also did the Otherworldly Distortion assignment (worth 1 star) more for fun than for experience or stars. I also decided to do my Honest poster assignment on The Wire (for 3 stars). My Tapestry assignment was really fun, and I decided to do it on The Wire as well (worth 3 stars). My lyric typography poster (worth 3.5 stars). For my last assignment for the week, I made a minimalist poster of the Quidditch World Cup (worth 3 stars).

I did the Designblitz with the goal of not leaving my living room (mainly out of laziness) which means that I only had books to take pictures of. Overall I liked the project, and I enjoyed the examples that I found.

My responses to We Are All Artists and the Vignelli Canon.
